Reviews
Automata Magazine, Issue 9.0
"Coriolis debuts with a fresh take on Industrial that creator
Jonathan Stamets calls "synth-metal." Although both the vocals and guitar
riffs resemble those of Metallica, the occasional use of symphonic programming
and pennywhistles creates a more progressive vibe, making this more than just
another paint-by-numbers industrial-metal album. Stamets fuses these elements
with state-of-the-art synths to create a groundbreaking sound. He has crafted
ten excellent tracks, avoiding much of the excessive repetition common to some
industrial music. The poetically picturesque lyrics show a depth and maturity
seldom heard in on debuts, indicating the influence of artists like Queensryche
or Dream Theater. Both the synths and vocal processing ground the music securely
in the electronic genre without becoming overbearing, making the album accessible
to a much wider audience. This is one of the best CDs so far this year!
Fans of Celldweller, Autumn's Descent and Massivivid will love it!"

Outburn Magazine
“Coriolis sets inspirational poetic lyrics to retro industrial music.
Distorted vocals, crunchy guitars,
gothic grooves, and synth atmospheres
accompany the industrial base on this thought provoking album.
Standout tracks: Between the Wheels, Resurrection Night, Happy Days.
If you Like: Razed in Black, CellDweller, Zeromancer.”
Devolution Magazine
”Coriolis self titled album is an album of solitary beliefs fused with emotional experience and a string of
rhetorical spoken word passages all told by the enchanting Jonathan Stamets. This is an
incredible mix
of industrial, metal and gothic symphonies all melded together with eerie compositions
and an underlying passion that is expressed throughout in all its glorious forms. Vocally,
Jonathan ranges between coarse twisted gruff harsh effects like the likes of Rob Zombie and
yet the spoken word has un-missable tinges of a Pete Steel feel – which is sexy and dark
with depth upon depth of something very sinister and disobedient. Ethereal sequences are
hand in hand with keyboards and powerful guitar riffs to make a project which anyone from
any scene could and should get into. An awe-inspiring effort all round.”
