Project History
Probably the first and one of maybe a couple Christian Shock Rock bands.
First release "Candyland" was compared to Marilyn Manson and they were labeled as the "Christian alternative" to MM. Their second album "Trick or Treat" featured the drummer from Saviour Machine and was more alternative rock than "Candyland".
During these releases they went through many different members and breakups. Their last/latest release "Love Letters From Hell" was the most controversial of all their releases, and caused a lot commotion in the Christian underground. The CD dealt with issues like pornography, child molestation, hypocrisy, and materialism. Also before the release Kandy Kane came out in the open as a transgender, and changed his band sig to Princess Kandy. This issue and the controversial release lost the band some fans. Kandy Kane was interviewed on VM Underground Radio Show after the release and all the controversy and talked about a new CD called "Tomb of Corpses" and spoke of his dealing with the transgender issue and how it was now over.
Rackets and Drapes still haven't released "Tomb of Corpses" and no one knows if they ever will. After the interview Kandy Kane had some medical problems and was diagnosed with an illnesses that prevented the band to proceed.
Current Status
Preparing to release a new album called 'Icononclasm'
